Description of the CRYOcheck™ Low Fibrinogen Control
CRYOcheck™ Low Fibrinogen Control is a routine hemostasis control derived from a pool of citrated plasmas and adjusted to express the characteristics of hypofibrinogenemia.
It contains a small but known quantity of fibrinogen (around 0.9 g/L) determined by the Clauss method.

Informations
Fibrinogen is a soluble protein made by the liver.
Under the action of thrombin, fibrinogen is converted into fibrin.
In association with FXIII, calcium ions, fibrin forms a stable network which ensures coagulation.
